|| Dear Diary || Celebrating being back in the Netherlands!

Hello loveliest readers,

I write this from my Auntie's home in Bensheim, Germany. Our trucky is parked on the drive and even though we're sharing some much loved social time here we still sleep in our own bed. It's such a luxury to have our home wherever we go! In the next few days I'm recording with an Arabic Percussionist in Mannheim and this is not the first amazing coming together of people and music I've been blessed to experience in the last nearly 8 months of travelling. I am feeling so immensly grateful to have been able to travel around Europe and work on my new album in this way. What a ride! The album in itself will tell the story once it's finished. Release plans shaping up for 2020 so a little while away still!

For now I will keep further album things a bit secret ;-) What I did mainly want to tell you about is that I have some concerts coming up in France and the Netherlands with a definite highlight being the 31st of May at Torpedo Theater Amsterdam. One that to me feels like a celebration of returning home. And intimate theatre full of atmosphere where my well-travelled-clog-feet and I shall play songs old and new and surely have a story or two to tell. Dutch readers will you join me there? I'd love to see your faces familiar and faces new! Support coming from my friend Josephine Zwaan who I can't wait to see and hear play. I'm hugely looking forward to being back in the Netherlands, spending time on the woodland-campsite that is 'trucky-homeland', and seeing my family and friends. To top it all off very shortly after our return my sister will be having her baby-girl so even more things to look forward to!

To those of you in the UK, another 'home-coming' for me will be the 8th of August at the Camden Chapel in London (part of the Irish Centre) and gosh London I've missed you! Another intimate and beautiful venue so tickets are limited. Make sure you get yours before it sells out! After that I get to spend a few days in the South Downs at the Wilfields Family Festival on August 10 & 11.
